The first step for the perfect shape of your eyebrows is to find out your face shape. Once you know what face shape you have its time to start thinking about your perfect brows! If you're shaping your eyebrows for the first time it's always a good idea to visit a professional. Once your eyebrows have been shaped it will be easy to keep on top of them and stick to that 'perfect' brow shape.Eyebrows for an Oval Shaped Face
Those of you lucky enough to have an oval face shape will be start to realize that the oval is considered to be the perfect face shape and the easiest to match both hairstyles eyebrow shapes to.
If you have an oval face shape the best thing to do with your brows is to keep them tidy and shaped along their natural curve. If you do wish to shape your eyebrows then the perfect brow is considered to have a soft arch with a slight angled shape.Eyebrows for a Round Face Shape
The aim for ladies with round face shapes is to make your face appear longer and thinner, basically to look more oval shaped than round. This can easily be done by shaping your eyebrows to have some height. High rounded eyebrows will only enhance the roundness of your face so aim for angled brows to gain the height as these will be best!
Brows should be straight up and down, the arch of your brows should be as high as you can possibly get it, this will all help draw the eye of others up and down the face creating the illusion of a longer face.Eyebrows for an Oblong Face Shape
The aim for an oblong face shape is to make the face appear shorter, eyebrows should therefore be shaped the opposite to the round face shape and to stop eyes wandering up and down the face which potentially could make a long face look even longer!
To do this eyebrows should be straight shaped across the face, arches or a curve to the eyebrow should be minimal and happen three quarter of the way down towards the end of the eyebrow to keep it looking smooth and as flat as possible across the face.Eyebrows for a Square Face Shape
Ladies who have the square face shape have very strong angled features, this can either be balanced by having an angled brow with a high noticeable arch or soften by creating soft curved shaped brows. If you want to balance a strong jaw with strong angled brows it's best to leave brows a little thicker.
Shaped brows can appear thicker then reality by drawing lightly over them in a pencil a shade or two darker then the brow its self, however you shouldn't press on hard or draw one long line over brows this will have them looking like thick slugs! To soften a harsh jaw line keep eyebrows rounded and curved, they should still arch but softly.Eyebrows for a Heart Face Shape
Women with heart shaped faces may not know this but your eyebrows play a big part in creating that feminine heart shaped face! Without the perfectly shaped brows your face shape can easily be mistaken as just having a pointy chin.
The aim for ladies with a heart shaped face is to create two beautifully curved and rounded brows that act as the top of a love heart whilst your chin creates the point at the bottom. Brows should arch and curve softly to create a very feminine shape. Be careful however as you don't want to over do it and end up with the constantly 'surprised' look.

Scoop a bit out every day when you shower and rub it over the parts of your body that need help exfoliating like elbows, knees and feet. Unlike some home beauty treatments, which should be made in small batches and used immediately to avoid spoilage, this one keeps beautifully for months. You can make this a beautiful gift for a friend by pouring in into a mason jar. Decorate the jar with stickers or decoupage images to personalize it. Wrap the jar with a towel to protect the artwork as you pour the body scrub in. Tie some colorful ribbon or raffia into a bow and give your friend a gorgeous gift.
DIY.... Hand MIlled Soap
With the holiday season growing ever closer, your party-planning mom will love a handmade gift that doubles as a special treat for guests. Homemade soap is a beautiful — and environmentally friendly — alternative to the bar soap purchased at the drugstore or grocery store. But making soap is a fairly precise process that involves working with a caustic substance (lye), and if you’ve never done it before, it can be intimidating. Fear not — there is another way.
Making hand-milled soap allows you to experiment with soap making while bypassing many of the more complex steps in making handmade soap. You don’t have to purchase, or create, a lot of extra supplies, and you get to repurpose boring old plain bars of soap that you may already have in your medicine cabinet. And it tends to have a more natural look than the typical processed bar of soap. What’s not to like?
The process of hand milling soap is also known as rebatching. Often, soap makers will hand mill soap that for some reason has not turned out successfully. But if you don’t have the time, or the inclination, to make your own soap with lye, you can hand mill store-bought bars of soap. (Note: Hand-milled soap is also called French milled, or triple-milled, soap. The type of hand-milled soap discussed here is not ground and reprocessed as commercial French milled soap is, but it is milled in the sense that it is reprocessed.)
Basic supplies for hand-milled soap:
- 3 bars of plain white unscented soap
- Stainless steel or glass bowl
- Cheese grater
- Water or coconut milk
- Small saucepan
- Wooden spoon
- Additive (essential oil, natural fragrance oil, colloidal oatmeal, jojoba beads, lavender, etc.)
- Plastic container or candy molds
- Baking rack
Instructions for hand-milled soap:
1. Grate the soap. Over a stainless steel or glass bowl, grate the bars of soap so that you have about 2 cups of grated soap.
2. Melt the soap. Add 1/2 cup of water or coconut milk (which may make for a smoother consistency of soap) to the flakes in the bowl — just enough liquid to wet the flakes. (If you use too much liquid, you’ll just have to wait longer for the soap to cure — see step 6.) Place the bowl over a saucepan of water about a third full to create a double boiler. Over medium-low heat, stir frequently and gently with a wooden spoon so that soap doesn’t stick to the bottom of the bowl and you don’t make suds. Stir until the soap liquefies. (If soap appears to be drying out, add water or milk.) It should appear somewhat lumpy and translucent.
3. Add other ingredients. Remove the soap from the heat and add whatever ingredients you want, blending well. (There are a number of soap recipes to be found online, or you can add about 20 drops of fragrance.)
4. Spoon soap into molds. You can use either a plastic rectangular container (which will create a block of soap you can later cut into bars) or candy molds (to create shapes), or any other type of mold you like. You can also use molds of seasonal shapes, such asChristmas trees or stars, for a festive look. Tap the molds gently on the counter to settle the soap and remove air pockets.
5. Cool the soap. Let the soap sit in the molds for a few minutes and then place in the freezer for up to an hour, to make it easier to remove from the soap.
6. Cure the soap. This process can take up to three weeks. Set the soaps on a baking rack so that air can get to all sides. Once hardened, the soaps are ready to be wrapped and given away!
For a decorative touch, wrap the bars in plain white tissue paper or parchment and secure the wrapping with a ribbon or length of yarn, and attach a handmade tag that indicates what’s in the soap.
Brown Sugar Coconut Body Polisher
This brown sugar scrub smells absolutely amazing! It's definitely the perfect treat for skin that's begging to be pampered. Not only is it a wonderful exfoliant, but thanks to the coconut oil included in this recipe, it's very moisturizing to the skin as well.

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups of brown or raw sugar
6-8 tablespoons of organic unrefined coconut oil
15-20 drops of vanilla essential oil (may be substituted with vanilla fragrance)
Directions:
If your coconut oil is solid at room temperature, briefly warm just enough to aid in the melting the process. Then in a small bowl combine your coconut oil and brown sugar, blending well enough to eliminate any lumps. Then add your vanilla essential oil to the mixture drop by drop, being sure to blend mix after each addition. Once mixed, scrub should be placed in an airtight container and used within six months. Apply your scrub to pre-moistened skin, being sure to massage it in using circular motions.

Pour into mold(s) and allow to cool. Pop out of mold if desired or leave it in a dish and scrape off a little as needed.

Home Beauty Recipes
1.) Brown Sugar and Honey Facial Scrub
This is probably my favorite one. Brown sugar exfoliates the skin ridding the pores of all dirt, oil and dead skin cells causing blemishes. Honey is naturally antibacterial, so as the brown sugar scrubs away the things clogging pores, the honey cleans out the sources for this buildup to prevent future breakouts.
2.) Coffee Grounds in Conditioner
This one is really simple. Instead of throwing old coffee grounds away, toss them into your conditioner to make your hair extra shiny. That’s all it takes!
3.) Replace Conditioner with Vinegar
To get rid of the usual problems with hair: build up, dullness and just lackluster, replace your conditioner with vinegar 1-4 times a month, depending on your hair type. Just use it as you need it. And don’t worry about buying the best stuff for the best results, common white vinegar will do the trick as well as any other vinegar.
4.) Olive Oil as Hair Moisturizer
It’s easy to see how oil can moisturize your hair. It’s simple to use it as well. Simply cover your hair in olive oil and leave it in for 30-45 minutes. You can also wrap it in plastic wrap to keep it from dripping and some believe it enhances the effect.
5.) Lemon and Egg Facial
Have red splotchiness on your face? Soothe both symptoms away easily by mixing together one egg yolk and the juice of one lemon into a paste. Cover your face with it and leave it on overnight. If this seems like too much work, leave it on your face for an hour. You might not get the optimal results with this time, but you will see a difference.
6.) Replace Conditioner with Baking Soda
Want to be more like a guy and only use one thing to clean your hair? Then just add baking soda to your shampoo. It will remove build up and make hair shinier, and you can use it everyday.
7.) Degrease Oily Hair With Lemons and Aloe
Mix together 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon aloe vera. Mix it together with a normal serving of shampoo. It will get rid of your oiliness in one shower.
8.) Smooth Fizzy Hair With Honey
Add a tablespoon of honey to a litre of water. After shampooing, rinse your hair with this concoction to tame your frizz.
9.) Replace Face Wash With Skim Milk Powder
Switching face wash out with skim milk powder can make your face much softer and give you a smoother complexion. It’s also very gentle, so even the most sensitive can use it.
10.) Moisturize Skin With Honey and Olive Oil
Honey holds moisture extremely well and olive oil hydrates well, too. Mix equal parts of olive oil and honey and add a dash of lemon juice if you’d like to create a pasty lotion. Rub it onto the dry skin and let it sit for 10-20 minutes. Your skin will be hydrated for plenty of time to come afterwards.
11.) Soften Skin With Oatmeal
There are many concoctions and mask recipes that involve oatmeal, but you can use oatmeal by itself to help your skin. Ground up about 1 cup of oatmeal using a blender or coffee grinder, and add it to bath water to soften skin to baby-like quality.
12.) Treat Choline-Damaged Hair
Mix together 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1/4 cup of a peeled cucumber. Cover you hair with the mixture and leave on for 10-20 minutes. You’ll see your hair return to normal almost immediately.
13.) Tone and Rebuild Skin With Avocados and Carrots
This recipe can work wonders. Combine 1 avocado, 1 cooked carrot, 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1 egg and 3 tablespoons of honey. Leave on for 10-20 minutes and then rinse. These ingredients add a multitude of vitamins, antioxidants and calcium to rebuild natural collagen, tone skin and remove age spots. There is plenty to read about the benefits of each of these ingredients, but all you need to know is that each natural element does more than any store-bought item can.
14.) Lemons or Oranges for Fine Hair Hairspray
Use Lemons for dry hair and oranges for a stronger hold. Chop up the entire piece of fruit in a bowl as to not lose any juice. Boil the fruit with 2 cups of water until soupy or when the liquid has been significantly reduced. Strain through a cloth and put into a spray bottle. The citrus will hold the hair and not damage it due to the fact that there is no alcohol.
15.) Apple Cider Vinegar for Cleanser and Toner
This eliminates dead skin cells easily, so you can use in lieu of expensive toner. That’s all
there is to it!
Tips for Eye Makeup Applications with Color Chart
Most of the time a simple nartural eye look works best. For everyday applications, pick shades of shadow that bring out your eye color rather than shadows that make a statement. The basic application is a simple process, here i have it broken down for you......

Crease: This is the area between your eyelid and your brow bone right where the socket of your eye is. Here you want to apply a dark shade of eyeshadow which will add depth and dimension to the eye. It can be a brown, grey, or even a dark color in the same family as your lid color.
Lower Lashline: This is the eye area right underneath your lower lashes. Here you can either apply the same eyeshadow color you used for the lid or you can choose to use the color you used for your crease.
*Always, Always apply an eyeshadow PRIMER. This is going to make your eyeshadows show up true to color,
Outer V: This is basically the outer corner of the eye making a sideways V shape like "<" or ">". Here you want to apply the darkest shade of eyeshadow such as black, a dark brown, or the darkest shade in the color family of the lid color or the crease color.
Brow Bone: the area right underneath the brow. This area you want to highlight with the lightest shade of eyeshadow such as whites, creams, pale golds, etc. This can also be a color one shade lighter than your natural skin tone or can be a light shade within the same color family as the crease color.
*Always, Always apply an eyeshadow PRIMER. This is going to make your eyeshadows show up true to color,
prevent them from creasing, and make them long-lasting.
*Blend, blend, and blend. You want to be sure to blend all the colors together seamlessly so there aren't any
harsh lines where one color stops and the other begins. You want all of the colors to just flow together.
*Practice, practice, and more practice. We all know the saying "Practice makes perfect"... well this applies to
makeup too. The more you practice applying your makeup, the easier and better it will get.
